If you need someone to walk your dog, we offer daily dog walking services in the Shenfield, Brentwood, Warley, Ingrave, Billericay, Ingatestone and Blackmore areas and surrounding towns and villages. Dog walks are available between 9.00am and 6.00pm during the week. Subject to availability, we also offer dog walking at weekends without any extra charge, generally only in the mornings, but we do offer 'emergency' cover for existing clients outside these hours.
We normally walk your dog or dogs on their own, not in a group, but subject to availability and also your dog's temperament, we do also offer group walks. Group dog walking means groups of up to 4 dogs, and we will only add dogs to groups at the owner's request and only when we are sure the dog will fit in with other members of the group.
Dogs are always walked on-lead unless the dog owner requests otherwise, and then only if we are sure your dog isn't going to vanish over the horizon. Dog walks are normally for an hour and we take the dogs to quiet woodland away from traffic, people and other dogs, to ensure walks are enjoyable. Depending on your location we can walk dogs in your local area if preferred, especially when it comes to older dogs who have their fixed routines.
Other than group walks, when we have a van specifically adapted for the purpose, dogs are collected and returned by car. If they get wet or muddy we towel them dry before dropping them off at home.
We prefer to walk dogs on a regular basis but are also available for ad-hoc bookings. Our only terms are that if you need to cancel a booked dog walk, it must be done no later than the day before the booking, otherwise it must be paid for. Existing customers can book or cancel walks by phone or email with only a day's notice.
Prices for a 1-hour dog walk for one dogOne-off and ad-hoc walks: £15.00
Life as a dog walker isn't particularly complicated, and we try to keep things as simple as possible for customers too. If you need a dog walker or local dog homestay accommodation, all you need to do is email us via our contact form (click the button below). We tend to catch up on email at the end of the day and once we've read your email we'll phone you as soon as is practical, answer any questions you may have, then organise a visit to your home, to meet you and your dog. Hopefully we'll all get along fine and we'll be able to offer a service that suits your needs.
For dog walking, whether you want one walk a week or one every day, we ask all new clients to pay for each week's walks in advance. We're happy to arrange alternative terms with established clients. We think that's fair.
